"chromaffin" Cell: Electron Microscopic Identification in the Human Dermis.
نویسنده
چکیده
A granulated cell in human skin has an ultrastructure similar to that of chromaffin cells of the adrenal medulla. This cell is closely associated with unmyelinated axons and may be the site of peripheral store of noradrenaline.

Evidence against presence of chromaffin cells in human skin.
• Adaros-Ray and Nordenstam' claim to have demonstrated "ehromaffin cells" in human skin and have thereby created a fundamentally new concept in the control of the peripheral circulation.' Their findings have been confirmed by a group of independent investigators,"' and electron microscopic studies have supported the suggestion that these cells are distinct from mast cells. These reports have i...
متن کاملCytochemical identification of endocrine thymus of chicken in relation to aging
Age related cytochemical changes of thymic endocrine cells were studied in 78 day old chicks at five day interval to age of day 60 employing a panel of cytochemical stains. Methenamine silver revealed cell morphology including cell processes distinctly while diamine silver revealed a stronger argentaffinity in these cells. The cells had greater affinity for diamine silver compared to methenamin...
متن کاملEstablishment of a Primary Cell Culture of Human Fibroblast in Iran
Background: Human fibroblasts are the part of the dermis that secrete extracellular matrix for the purpose of tissue repair. Culturing fibroblasts, which leads to formation of a monolayer of these cells, is used for treating various conditions including thermal burns and other skin defects such as diabetic and varicose vein leg ulcers. Therefore, we aimed at developing a fibroblast bank to acco...
متن کاملComparative light and electron microscopic study of the adrenal gland of the snake.
A new method employing both comparative light and electron microscopic observations on the study of identical cell elements was described. This method was characterized by the use of thick Epon-embedded sections (0.3-1.5 micron thick) for both light and electron microscopy. The use of a high voltage electron microscope of 1,000 kV accelerating potential made this study possible. Two types of ch...
متن کاملThe blood vascular architecture of the extra-adrenal chromaffin body in the adult rat: a scanning electron microscopic study of corrosion casts.
A well developed extra-adrenal chromaffin body with an axis of 200-400 micron was found in seven out of thirty adult male Wistar rats under a stereomicroscope. All seven bodies were located between the left and right kidneys. Blood vascular beds of the five bodies were reproduced with a methacrylate casting medium and observed with a scanning electron microscope. It was revealed that the extra-...
